The Goodyear Put More Good On The Road program includes a contest for Goodyear’s North American tire dealers of all sizes and types, seeking to spotlight those who best represent their profession through strong examples of giving back to their communities and, effectively, by “putting more good on the road.”
Those considered for the award will show evidence of charitable involvement that helps benefit others, and the judging is administered by an independent panel of representatives from charity boards and community giving organizations.
The tire dealer judged as the overall winner of Goodyear’s 2013 Put More Good On The Road Award will receive a check for $10,000 given to the charity of choice, as stated on the winner’s entry application, along with a customized plaque acknowledging the award.
The winner will also be recognized at the 2013 Goodyear Dealer Conference in January at the Gaylord National near Washington D.C.
“We are excited about recognizing a deserving tire dealer through the Goodyear Put More Good On The Road award program because, by extension, we are acknowledging the great work that so many of our dealers do in their hometown communities and across North America,” said Todd Pickens, Goodyear’s senior director, consumer sales.
Via Goodyear’s online dealer site, Tire-HQ, dealers can nominate their own businesses, or others can nominate a tire dealer for this award. Those making the nomination will provide basic information about the dealership being nominated and write a short essay explaining why that dealership should be considered.
Support materials are encouraged – photos, media coverage, press releases, community recognition, letters of recommendation and more. The entry deadline is Nov. 4, 2012.
The 2012 winner of the Put More Good On The Road Award was Olson Tire & Auto Service in Wausau, Wis.
