Europe’s main stock markets diverged at the start of trade on Tuesday, with London edging higher as investors returned to their desks after a three-day weekend break.
The British capital’s FTSE 100 index gained just 0.02 percent to 5,777.68 points, as the market reopened following a public holiday on Monday.
Elsewhere however, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 slid 0.58 percent to 7,006.09 and in Paris the CAC 40 dropped 0.62 percent to 3,441.20 points in opening deals.
